We will be staying at The Vineyard House at Piocho Ranch. A true Santa Ynez gem—this private, picturesque, property is surrounded by vineyards, open skies and is just 10 minutes from Los Olivos.

Santa Ynez is an easy and scenic 3.5–4 hour drive from Orange County or San Diego.

You’re welcome to arrive any time on Thursday, but for the smoothest drive, I recommend planning around morning traffic in Los Angeles. Leaving OC or SD around 9:00 AM typically gets you into Santa Ynez by early afternoon.

The route is simple and straightforward: 405 to the 101, then the 154 straight into the valley. From there, you’re officially in wine country

Travel

Think relaxed California summer with a western twist. Days are warm and easy, best suited for swimsuits, breathable summer dresses, linen sets, and comfortable daytime looks. Evenings cool down slightly, so light layers are always a good idea.

There are no formal themes for the weekend but a little western flair always feels right out here. Cowboy boots are highly encouraged .

*Bring a workout set and tennis shoes in case we’re feeling up for a vineyard hike one morning.
